GENETICS LABORATORY
The PCR laboratory will be of multidisciplinary nature and will support all the curricular areas of the FCN in order to contribute to the development of research in several areas of animal and plant genetics (DNA extraction, mass cytometry studies, sequencing, PCR and MPLA tests) in the northern region covering mainly the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Niassa.
It will also serve to train local human resources at different levels in order to improve the performance of scientific research in the typification of different animal and plant species, making us more independent from external services, training us in the provision of these services within the region, and thus follow up and develop the various works and projects at Faculty, province and region level. This laboratory was financed by the African Development Bank and started operating in mid 2022.
