Biography

Bibiana Américo Fernando Nassongole, Degree in Biological Sciences in 2013 and Masters in Ecology in 2017. She is responsible for the Laboratory Services and the collection room of species of the faculty of Natural Sciences-Universidade Lúrio. She works with artisanal fishing and with monitoring of community marine reserves. She has coordinated and supervised monographs on the ecology of coastal benthic communities, as well as the collection of invertebrates in northern Mozambique.

Research interests include the study of spatial and temporal changes of benthic communities in response to natural and anthropogenic agents, management of fishing grounds, aquaculture and coral reefs. The teaching activity encompasses undergraduate curriculum units that include, Fishing Resources, Marine Ecology, Invertebrate Zoology and Histology.
